Jazmine (“Jazzy”) was born and raised in Maryland and is a proud member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina. She is a Licensed Graduate Marriage and Family Therapist (LGMFT) and a member of the
American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). Jazmine is also an alumni fellow of AAMFT’s Minority Fellowship Program, sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services
Administration (SAMHSA). She completed both her undergraduate and graduate education at the University of Maryland, College Park, earning a Bachelor of Science in Community Health, a Master of Science in Couples and Family Therapy, a Certificate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and a specialty in Health Risk Behaviors.
Growing up in a racially diverse environment with strong Indigenous roots, Jazmine deeply values authenticity, curiosity, and compassion. She intentionally incorporates these values into every therapeutic encounter by taking time to understand each client’s story as an individual, as part of a couple, and as a member of a family system. Her therapeutic style is warm, candid, direct, and strengths-based, inviting individuals, couples, and families to show up as they are. Jazmine gravitates toward postmodern
approaches such as Narrative Therapy, alongside attachment-based interventions and mindfulness, to meet clients where they are and help lay a meaningful foundation for their therapeutic journey.
In her free time, Jazmine enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, and exploring new restaurants.
