René is a two-time graduate of Bowie State University who strongly believes that mental/emotional wellness should be promoted and discussed more, especially in Black and Brown communities. She considers self-care to be the best care and believes the second that we choose to better ourselves, the world around us becomes better too. “An uncommon level of strength is tapped into when people can acknowledge that they need help.” Distinguishing the problem from the person, René strives to help people walk through the steps necessary to reach their happiest and most influential selves.

René has a passion for helping, advising, and inspiring youth and young adults like herself who grew up believing that getting therapy and asking for help only had negative stigmas around them. She encourages people to find their voice and take pride in their individuality; therefore, creating a safe space for her fellow generation and those that follow is of great priority.

In her spare time, René enjoys unwinding in bed, watching anime, eating good food, and going out with her friends and loved ones.
