Courtney loves helping people get down to the root of their problems and change old patterns that originated in response to traumatic experiences, most often in childhood and teenage years. Courtney has experience working with people who hold a diverse array of cultural and sexual identities. Courtney is passionate about using trauma and attachment-informed approach with individuals who are tired of “pushing through,” and are ready to focus on their own needs and be unapologetically themselves. Outsiders, and people who feel like others just don’t get it, are Courtney’s specialty as she prides herself on encouraging people to “come as they are”. She genuinely believes you already have the answers and all you need within yourself. She is simply going to help you tap into that power.
Courtney has been supporting individuals on their healing journey since 2019. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Psychology from Salisbury University and her Master’s degree in Social Work with a Clinical Behavioral Health Specialization from the University of Maryland Baltimore. Courtney uses a trauma and attachment perspective in her work which is influenced by training in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, CBT, and mindfulness.
In her spare time, Courtney likes to spend time outside, cook comfort foods, listen to her vinyl collection, travel, and cuddle with her beloved pups, Luna and Nova!
