Carla has eighteen years of experience in behavioral health, providing counseling and therapy services. She believes the therapeutic journey begins with where the client is, what they present with, and their current strengths. Her experience spans working with children, young adults, individuals, and families. She specializes in grief and loss, trauma, mental health, parenting, relationships, concerns related to weight and body image, and life transitions.
Carla earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology from Howard University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Howard University as well. She is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) in Washington, DC, and a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Maryland. Additionally, she holds a certificate in Sports Social Work from Tulane University.
